Why You Need More Than Just Photos for Online Shopping

In addition to photography, there’s the rise of product videos featuring models. These 10-15-second videos offer a crucial difference in that you can see how the product moves and view it from all angles. Apart from showcasing the fabric’s movement, you can get a clearer view of the fit, demonstrate various styling options, or highlight unique features. The likelihood of product returns is significantly reduced because you illuminate every aspect, ultimately saving money. Of course, there’s a downside to this approach—it’s more expensive to produce and may not be suitable for every item, but it’s perfect for the key pieces in your collection. 

If you don’t have the budget to do this for every product (we can’t blame you), it would still add value to selected items. Consider products with a higher price range, such as outerwear, or timeless products that are never out of stock, allowing the video to be used for an extended period. It can also be interesting for styles with high quantities to give them a strong push. Don’t forget about macro videos, where you get up close to the product and create beautiful atmospheric shots.

Using video gives your brand a more professional appearance, which in turn instills quicker trust in customers. Moreover, search giant Google will rank your website higher if you use more videos.
